Pete's Bio

A Passion for Animals, From the Farm to the Clinic

Growing up on a small Kansas farm, I developed a deep-rooted love for livestock, particularly pigs. Over 30 years, I honed my skills in swine production, from breeding and gestation to nursery and finishing operations.

After relocating to Virginia in 2013, I brought my passion for animals to Woodland Veterinary Hospital. Starting as a kennel technician, I’ve progressed through various roles, including veterinary assistant and client service representative, ultimately becoming the Practice Manager.

When I’m not caring for our furry and feathered friends, I enjoy the open road on my Harley-Davidson or relaxing by the ocean. My four canine companions, Chola, Manito, MiniGun, and Rosa, are more than just pets—they’re beloved members of my family.
