Chelsey's Bio
I Grew up in military family, moved around a lot but always called Hampton my home. All my family lives here. I began working as a kennel attendant right after high school and knew immediately this was the field I wanted to be in. Started college at VCU studying biology before transferring to the University of Kentucky. There I worked at a thoroughbred foaling farm as well as the livestock disease & diagnostic center. Came back to VA and worked as a veterinary assistant for a few years before going back to school for my degree in veterinary technology. Graduated from Blue Ridge in 2014 and have been working as a licensed veterinary technician since. I have worked in emergency, specialty and general practice. Even lead the veterinary program at Bluebird Gap Farm for a couple of years. I have worked in large animal, small animal and exotic medicine and loved all it. I have worked most extensively in small animal anesthesia, surgery & dentistry. I currently have 3 cats, 2 dogs, a gecko, a ball python and a 2nd grader. I am very blessed to be working at Woodland Veterinary Hospital and feel I have found my “Furever” hospital.
